Creation of a cultural space including a music and dance school, two halls with 600 and 300 seats, a media library, and community facilities.
Soisy-Sous-Montmorency's cultural center aims to become the city's future arts pavilion, an emblematic and unifying place. With its esplanade, gardens and promenades, it will be a meeting place and an urban square for the people of Soisy-Sous-Montmorency.
The project’s architectural approach aims to free up as much space as possible on the plot to allow for the creation of gardens, and to create a large urban square as a meeting point for residents. The cultural center takes the form of a building with a fluid, organic ribbon-like façade, allowing the building to position itself freely within the site.
This shape reflects the project’s program: four distinct cultural poles brought together in a single space to form a large cultural center. It also avoids the need for residual exterior space, freeing up qualitative areas around the project and creating a large esplanade. The foyer, where visitors are welcomed, is a true extension of this esplanade, establishing a strong link between the exterior and interior. The foyer forms the core of the project, around which the four cultural hubs revolve.
