Program

Construction of a new building for the Archives of Loiret, bringing together the three current sites.

The new building of the Archives of Loiret brings together the services on a single site to improve their operation. Resolutely modern, users will discover spaces designed to meet their needs.

The building rises to a height of just under 35m, symbolising the stacking and accumulation of works within the volumes. Our ambition is to propose a contemporary and dynamic architecture, with particular attention paid to the volumetry, the design of the facades and the integration of vegetation, while responding perfectly to the uses of today and tomorrow. In a predominantly mineral context, the project is clad and built with a maximum of simple bio-sourced materials such as wood, while maintaining a contemporary appearance.

The roof of the ground floor volume is partly vegetated in order to offer a pleasant and privileged view of the surrounding buildings. The Archives building will host a garden with abundant vegetation, while offering a landscaped path to its users. The sides of the building are also reworked into green spaces.

Its architectural quality and urban integration will be attractive factors for a large and varied public, curious to discover the new Archives of Loiret.
