Design and construction of a nomadic, innovative exhibition village for the Art Explora festival, in consortium with GL events for space planning and the Arcora design office.
The exhibition spaces, conceived as extensions of the docked boat, will be made up of containers that will serve both as showcases for the exhibits and as containers for transporting the village throughout its Mediterranean itinerary. The architecture of the village gives it a distinctive character, reinforcing its originality and total modularity.
The volume created by the containers is protected by an organic roof designed by Arcora. The roof is made of a braced, self-stabilizing metal frame. The roof is closed by superstitch panels, which are attached to the framework elements.
These panels, shaped into a double curvature, are produced by a special process of cutting and adjusting the material. Once inflated, they retain their shape.
Near the exhibition pavilions, the Agora will be installed. This central stage, equipped with state-of-the-art technology, will host the festivals’ multidisciplinary programming at every stage.
