Refurbishment and design of the furniture at the historic head office on rue Saint Dominique (7th arrondissement).
The refurbishment project for the Schlumberger group's head office proposes a building that expresses modernity and durability: in continuity with and respectful of the pre-existing architecture and improving the uses and quality of the spaces.
To allow more light into the space, the entrance to the headquarters has been moved to take better advantage of the light provided by the patio. The multi-purpose room, on the other hand, has been detached from the patio, benefiting from plenty of light thanks to two skylights at the back. This new foyer, a place to meet, exchange ideas and showcase the group, is accompanied by a media library, utilities and a number of offices.
On the floors, the staircases have been given a noble treatment. They are glazed onto the corridors and naturally lit from the façade or by skylights. A new staircase, located in the main circulation axis between the two buildings, encourages horizontal links and the flow of people on the same floor.
On the courtyard façade, some of the windows have been enlarged to create a uniform design and maximise the amount of natural light in the offices. The building is crowned by a reception area comprising a meeting room, restaurant, cloakroom and toilets. The first floor is bright and offers magnificent views of the Eiffel Tower and Les Invalides. The basements house a restaurant, two small lounges, kitchens and technical areas.
