Construction and extension of the new Ferrari Sports Management Centre.
The new Gestione Sportiva building is the new gateway to the area dedicated to the Ferrari team in Maranello, Italy, which already includes the Fiorano test track and the logistics and engine testing buildings. The building, open to the public street, offers a façade representative of Ferrari through red, black and reflective metal. The sinuous shape recalls the strength, character and dynamism of the luxury car manufacturer’s models.
The program has imagined more functional spaces, including areas dedicated to relaxation, representation and communication functions. It is a programme that looks to the future, both in terms of image and the industrial organisation of a company.
In 2018, the extension of the engine test beds and the new Sports Management Centre was completed. The extension is “linked” by its function and architectural principles to the existing one, delivered in 2015. A glazed walkway on the ground floor provides a direct link between the two buildings.
Made of glass and metal, in the same colours as the main building, the extension also has three levels: the basement and ground floor house the activities linked to the assembly of the F1 cars (workshops and laboratories), while the first floor houses the technical offices, the representation and communication areas.
