Construction of a large event hall in the heart of the city.
The site where the Arena is located, the Sernam ZAC, is in the midst of a global reflection that has been underway since 2015 around the Reims Grand Centre project. The Arena is a place of crossroads and exchanges that contributes to the renewal and dynamism of the area.
The Arena site is atypical for such a facility. Located in the heart of the city, this characteristic has enabled the development of a remarkable and unique identity for this type of building. The programme is developed on three levels, each of which offers a programme that can be seen from the outside, and a set of corridors that allow users to take advantage of the panoramic views over the city. A rhythm of full and empty spaces animates the facades according to the events and the stroll of the spectators. Large windows allow natural light to enter the building.
This unified and uncluttered aesthetic implies extreme attention to the choice of materials, the layout and the geometric organisation of the materials. The existing plant presence is reinforced by the design of a welcoming green square.
