Program

Construction of offices on the Place de la Croisee in Nanterre, which partly house the EPADESA headquarters.

The priority of the city and EPADESA for the development of the Seine-Arche ZAC was to establish an urban mesh woven with public spaces, streets, terraces, gardens and planting.

The complex geometry of the site led to the design of a compact building, making maximum use of the site’s capacity and respecting neighbouring projects. The volume of the building has the unusual shape of a metal monolith. The base partially surrounds the two infrastructure levels and is embedded in the natural terrain. The project is part of a high environmental quality approach. The facades play a key role in the environmental issues of the project. They bring in natural light without blocking the sun’s rays from neighbouring buildings. The building provides approximately 15,000 sqm of office space on seven floors, with a company restaurant on the ground floor and two levels of infrastructure parking.

The project received the 2012 Ile-de-France Silver Pyramids “BBC TPHE EnR2005 Commercial Property Award”.
