Program

Construction of an office building for the Eiffage group.

Adjacent to the Eiffage Construction headquarters, which was completed in 2011, the Campus project aimed to bring together all the branches of the Eiffage Group on a single site.

The site consists of three independent volumes. Two of these volumes are clad in light grey aluminium and are covered by a regular mesh of small glass prisms. These two massive elements are linked by a suspended volume made of metal structure and glass curtain wall, the whole acting as a symbolic link between the different trades of the company. This singular element, which is an architectural event and a structural feat, marks the presence of a large company on a major road.

The project was subject to the implementation of an energy saving strategy with, among other things, the recovery of heat from the heat pumps for the production of heating and the installation of energy recovery lifts. In order to be as close as possible to the actual use of the building, a centralised technical management system manages the climate control of the office floors for air conditioning, lighting and blinds.

The space underneath the shiny white volume is a vast, transparent, walk-through hall which, in addition to its reception and orientation function, provides a genuine exhibition space, a showcase for Eiffage’s know-how. The garden level, set below the Avenue de l’Europe to avoid nuisance, houses all the building’s services (cafeteria, RIE, library, fitness room, concierge service) where each of these functions finds an extension outside in a vast south-facing landscaped garden.

The office levels, served by open and luminous landings, are structured around two landscaped patios offering the group’s employees calm, light and a view of all the work spaces.
