Program

Renovation of a former hospital into a housing program integrated into the surrounding natural environment.

The Domaine Hestïa rehabilitation project aims to transform this former hospital complex into an integrated, open living space, while preserving its rich architectural heritage.

A historic hospital complex, Domaine Hestïa boasts a rich landscape. The brick buildings dating from 1900, linked by galleries, formed a setting around a park. The more recent “satellite” buildings were laboratories, some of which are still used as treatment centers. With the relocation of the main activity to the neighboring Lommelet site, Ulysse Trélat was partitioned off, forming an impenetrable rampart. The aim is to reintegrate it into the Saint-André-lez-Lille area. The 7-hectare site offers a diversity of architectural styles. The project aims to preserve this diversity by creating several distinct neighborhoods. The old buildings are transformed into terraced houses, while the satellites are transformed into villas with private gardens. The development of the northern part of the site will create collective housing with a crèche and shops.

The former boiler house becomes a brewery, and the observation house a quality senior residence. Two symbolic buildings in the central park offer breathtaking views and serve as landmarks
