Program

Creation of a winery and a visitor and tasting route

In the south of the Luberon, the expansion of the facilities at Château La Dorgonne, through the construction of a new winery, aims to modernize the winemaking process and double the production of this outstanding estate.

Located along the main access path to the estate, the forecourt connecting to the old wine cellar is now bordered by two single-story pavilions — dedicated to reception and sales — built in openwork terracotta brick and topped with flat roofs made of anthracite-colored steel.

A dry-stone wall frames the view, serves as a retaining wall for the southern terrain and guides visitors toward the new winemaking building.

This building, which spans two double levels, with the lower level partially buried, brings together a barrel cellar, a red-wine vat room, tasting cellars, and bottle storage areas, accessible from the pedestrian pathway.

On the upper level, a circular stainless-steel vat room dedicated to the production of rosé and white wines, open 360° to the surrounding landscape, features a large overhanging metal roof and adjustable sunshades, protecting it from direct sunlight without obstructing transparency, and creating a coherent architectural identity.
