Program

Construction of a holiday home in Charente-Maritime.

The whole project plays with the topography of a dune crossing the site, on which the houses are built.

The massive volume of the first floor, in green Vals stone, seems to float on the dune. The dune protects the ground floor from the view of the beachgoers, which is as white and transparent as possible. The main house houses the communal living areas (living room, family kitchen, pool house) and the parents’ rooms. It is separate from the children’s house. In the continuity of the main house, the children’s house is organised around four suites, each with a private terrace.

The separation of the project into two distinct buildings has the advantage of providing the neighbouring villa with a visual breakthrough towards the sea and of creating, during the walk from the entrance, a progressive discovery of the garden, the pool and the panorama.
