With the exhibition Laguna Nera, the Wilmotte Foundation invites Bao Vuong to tell us about his experience of the city of Venice. On wooden panels and large masses of black oil paint, he meticulously paints each wave like a litany, a mantra.

Bao Vuong tells us about the resilience of the venetians in the face of passing time and rising waters. Although the city is built on the shallows of black water, on its wooden piles and bathed in the great movements of the lagoon, Venice sparkles on the surface of the water, shining with a thousand lights, immersed in art, history and culture, imperturbable and proud.
