The Wilmotte Foundation presents, from 11 December 2026 to 25 April 2027, Flying Papers – Promenade, an installation by Korean artist H.K. Kwon. Through thousands of sheets of traditional Korean hanji paper, the artist explores human existence, the passage of time and the invisible connections that shape our lives.

Each sheet represents an individual, carrying the memories, emotions and experiences accumulated over a lifetime. Layers of paper, ink and water evoke the complexity of human identity and the transformations that time brings, while subtle gradations of black and grey reflect the ever-changing nature of human emotions.

Set in motion by the wind, the suspended sheets gently brush against one another, creating delicate whispers and unpredictable movements. Like human encounters, these fleeting interactions reveal how individual journeys intersect, influence one another and gradually drift apart.

Between stillness and movement, Flying Papers – Promenade offers a poetic reflection on the traces we leave in one another’s lives and the shared experience of inhabiting the same space.

Opening hours: 10:00 AM – 1:30 PM / 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM (closed on Mondays and public holidays)

As an artist, I am drawn to the paths people have travelled, the memories they carry with them, and the way time shapes both their outward appearance and their inner world.
