Launching of the Chartreuse de Neuville's international competition of architecture
The Chartreuse de Neuville, the largest public French Carthusian monastery, in partnership with the Wilmotte Foundation, launches an international competition of architecture for a contemporary extension of its cultural center.
Initially built in 1324 by the Carthusian order, the Chartreuse de Neuville is the largest entirely preserved French Carthusian monastery. One year ago, this European cultural encounter center started the largest renovation works for a listed historic monument. It pursues today its development and rehabilitation with the launch of an international call for ideas for the creation of an additional cultural space mixing contemporary architecture and heritage.
International architecture students and young architects can apply until October 2nd.
