Archivist
We are looking for an archivist with a passion for architecture, art, and design to join our dynamic team. You will be responsible for managing and preserving documents, objects, and data related to our organization.
Job Description
As part of the Documentation and Archives team, reporting to the Head of Department, you will be involved in the following activities:
- Archival processing of collections and fonds
- Collection, sorting, classification, preservation, and dissemination of the firm’s historical and contemporary archives
- Preservation and protection of both physical and digital archives
- Collaboration with research and design teams to facilitate access to archival materials
- Improvement of the structure and quality of the department’s finding aids and research tools
- Participation in the implementation of new digital archive management tools (SIA/SAE)
- Participation in the digitization of historical documents and collections
- Additional projects may be assigned depending on departmental needs and the candidate’s interests and skills
Candidate Profile
- Degree in Archival Studies, Art History, or an equivalent university qualification in a related field
- Experience in archive management, ideally in the fields of architecture, art, or design
- Strong knowledge of archival standards, classification systems, and archival analysis
- Knowledge of or interest in digital archiving and long-term digital preservation
- Knowledge of applicable legislation and regulations (intellectual property rights, archives law)
- Proficiency with IT tools and document management software
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Dynamic, organized, highly meticulous, curious, and enthusiastic
- Excellent writing and communication skills
- Professional discretion
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Bridge), databases, and collection management software
- Knowledge of preventive conservation practices
Language Skills
Fluent proficiency in both French and English.
Experience Required
Previous experience in a relevant field is preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience
- Master’s degree (Master II) in Archival Studies or more than one year of professional experience in a similar position
- Proven experience conducting archival research

- Full-time position (38 hours per week), Monday to Friday, on-site
