This book presents in detail the main museums, galleries and exhibitions created by Wilmotte & Associés. It includes an interview with Jean-Michel Wilmotte and Taco Dibbits (Director of the Rijksmuseum Amsterdam), an essay on the history of museography by Françoise Mardrus (Curator at the Louvre Museum), and is illustrated by more than 300 high-quality photographs.
Over the past forty years, Wilmotte & Associés has established itself as one of the world’s most prestigious architectural firms in the fields of museography and exhibition design. It has been involved in large-scale commissions, notably for the Louvre Museum in Paris (Richelieu Wing and the Department of Primitive Arts in the Pavillon des Cessions), the Museum of Islamic Art in Qatar in Doha, the Musée d’Orsay in Paris (refurbishment of the rooms devoted to the Impressionists) and the Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam.
