For its tenth edition, the W Prize has proposed a challenge as stimulating as it is essential to respond to the crisis of poor housing. Presenting the winning and mentioned projects, the exhibition "A Roof for All" opens on 19 May at the Wilmotte Foundation Gallery in Venice.

Faced with the housing crisis, the Foundation invited young architects to imagine original solutions to design habitable modules that would fit under the existing and unused roofs that surround us. Rooftops shape the landscape of cities and the countryside, they shape the horizon. A roof is a protection, it is a shelter to rebuild. It is the promise of a renewed family and social life.

The foundation received 57 quality projects. Four projects won awards, including two projects that tied for third place. Ten projects received mentions. The winning projects will be exhibited in Venice in the Foundation’s Gallery from 19 May to 12 November 2023, and will be published in a dedicated book.
